Government investigations show that we are cutting four times as much timber in this country each year as is being grown. This condition must be changed. The towns can help solve the problem by establishing forests which will encourage the private owners to practice forestry on their own lands. The time is near at hand when every municipality in Massachusetts which contains forest land will have its Town Forest. Why not begin now?
