Perhaps the greatest need in conservation today is to find an effective method of teaching the subject in the schools. The community forest may be used as an outdoor laboratory for teaching elementary courses in nature study... Under proper management the school children of this country could plant on community forests more trees annually than are now being planted by the state departments of forestry
