The Falmouth Town Forest
The town forest in Falmouth was established in
1923 on 200 acres of land. The town was fortunate in having received valuable
gifts of land which were used for the town forest, in addition to land set
aside for a forest park. Over the course of several years, an additional
471 acres were purchased by the town in part to protect the town water supply.
Over 248,00 trees were planted in the forest.
