The Plainville Town Forest

The town forest in Plainville was established in 1931. The town decided to establish the forest on 4 acres of land that had come into possession of the town through the non-payment of taxes. An additional 109 acres were acquired at a later time.

Over 40,000 trees were planted in this 219 acre forest.
