How do YOU feel about paying for this? Processo is a weekly news magazine published in Mexico City. This is the front cover of the issue of March 30, 2003. The caption says: Washington doesn't believe in tears. On page 4 Processo gave the following information: Front cover photo: On Saturday morning, March 22, AP photographer Nabil came close to a cargo truck that transported injured to a Basora hospital, in southern Iraq. Some hours earlier allied forces had bombed the city. Nabil took the picture of an Iraqi girl in shock with her legs mutilated, in the arms of a turbaned man who is preparing to put her down into the truck. The following day the photograph was published in the principal daily newspapers of the world. Then the image appeared in posters during protest marches against the war in Iraq in cities such as Barcelona and London. It was converted into an icon of barbarity. For its testimonial value, Processo is publishing it this week on its front cover. How many of the principal daily newspapers in the U.S. published this "icon of [the U.S. government's] barbarity"? ― G.S., April 17, 2003
